" Innovation and sustainability in organic synthesis and drug development " Pavia 16-17 September 2019

This workshop will focus on current challenges in synthetic organic and medicinal chemistry from the perspective of the academic research and pharmaceutical industry.

In particular, the following topics will be covered:
•           Sustainable chemistry and catalysis
•           Biocatalysis and flow-reactor technology
•           Innovative products and approaches in medicinal chemistry
•           Nanotechnologies for biomedical applications

The topics of this meeting explore the interface between chemistry and different life sciences. In particular, the meeting highlight the recent advancement and innovations aimed at increasing the efficiency and sustainability of the drug discovery, synthetic processes and the development of innovative products. Within this framework, the final results of the project: “Bioflow: development of a biotechnological platform for the sustainable high-yield and scalable preparation of high-value chemicals”, financed by Cariplo Foundation, will be presented in a dedicated session.

This workshop is particularly intended to foster intellectual exchanges between PhD student of the Doctoral Schools in Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry of Milan and Pavia Universities, in an international environment.

The event is organized in collaboration with the Doctoral school of Molecular Chemistry at Sorbonne University (Ecole Doctorale de Chimie Moléculaire de Paris-Centre).

Participation of PhD from these schools with oral presentation (15 min) or poster is encouraged

The participation is free of charge and it is limited to a maximum of 60 participants.

For registration and abstract submission (Poster or oral presentation), please submit the following format at: bioflow.meeting@gmail.com

Dead line for registration and abstract submission is July 1st 2019

A confirmation e-mail will be sent by July 15th, 2019
