Molecular Chemistry of Paris-Center: a grouping of five molecular chemistry laboratories
Their research covers all areas of organic, inorganic and biological molecular chemistry.
The units constitute a pole of excellence in synthesis, catalysis and bioorganic chemistry.
All these laboratories belong to the 32nd section of the CNU, sections 12, 13, 14 and 16 of the CNRS and they belong mainly to two doctoral schools.
Their production is particularly important: since January 2000 more than 1,100 published publications, 200 theses have been supported and more than 200 invitations to conferences including several abroad.
Our objectives are to create strong links between inorganic chemists, organists and molecular biologists from Paris Center for:
To ensure a better readability of our laboratories vis-à-vis our supervisory bodies and local authorities but also in the eyes of the industrial world
To define in common the priority axes to be privileged and to identify the emerging themes to be developed taking into account the scientific but also economic stakes
Enhancing our technological know-how
Define a site policy in order to make more profitable the investments made by the various establishments for the purchase of heavy and heavy equipment
Adapt the training of doctoral schools to the axes of the federative structure
Respond to the priorities of the major national and European programs and create a scientific center that can compete with the best international centers.
These laboratories depend on mono or poly-belonging of 4 establishments:
UPMC, Ecole Normale Supérieure, Chimie ParisTech, the Ecole Supérieure de Physique et Chimie Industrielle. They are all associated with the CNRS.
